Piercing through water and air like an unstoppable force is Feadship’s 246-foot creation, aptly christened Arrow! The luxury vessel that looks more like a partner in crime has joined the market for the very first time, listed with Fraser’s Andrew Bond. The robust steel and aluminum yachts’ sporty exterior is the work of London-based H2 Yacht Design. The same team bestowed motoryacht Arrow with sharp, masculine, yet sophisticated interiors. “She’s a trailblazer, with a cutting-edge design that is very much the face of this period of the 21st century,” noted Feadship director Henk de Vries during the christening. “She is also an exceptional family yacht, quite possibly the best we have ever completed.”

The 2019 yacht exudes class in every corner, whether the elegant elevator space or the swanky main saloon with large-screen cinema and comfortable seating areas. Several elements give Arrow an edge over the others, like low glass railings, wide gangways, and stunning and sophisticated interiors with an equally striking exterior.

Arrow sleeps 12 guests in six cabins, but the crowning glory, as expected, is the expansive owner’s stateroom. Picture a stately office, his and hers dressing rooms, and the works to make the affluent owner feel at home.

Evidently missing the usual top deck, Arrow yacht makes up for it with a breathtaking sky lounge and constant stellar views owing to the large windows. From dining alfresco to lazing in the Jacuzzi or pumping iron in a fully equipped gym, there’s never a dull moment on board.

There is ample activity taking place on the lower deck, where two fold-down balconies make for a vast beach club comprising a full-service bar, dive store, and dedicated massage and sauna area. The main deck is also home to the VIP suite, and four guest cabins occupy the lower deck.

The 1,890 GT superyacht flaunts a cruising speed of 14 knots for $148 million. She can be viewed in full glory at the Palm Beach International Boat Show.

Billionaire hedge fund manager Michael Platt owns the superyacht Arrow-
Billionaires and boats go hand-in-hand. When you’re the founder of private investment firm BlueCrest Capital Management worth $15 billion, you buy a boat like 246-footer Arrow to make the point. The British billionaire, hedge fund manager, was introduced to investment by his equity-trading grandmother. His first stint was as a teenager of 14, who invested %600 in a shipping line, Common Brothers that soon tripled in price. Clearly, that boy never looked back and, at 54, is the managing director of Europe’s third-largest hedge-fund firm.

Platt is an enthusiastic art collector known to commission work from well-known artists, which is safely kept in a private showroom in the crypt of a deconsecrated church at One Marylebone. The work of renowned taxidermist Polly Morgan, the Turner Prize-winning sculptor, installation artist Keith Tyson and Reece Jones is also part of his collection.
